God of War is a mighty tough act to emulate and Inferno clearly isn’t in the same league, but though this copycat is flawed it’s a guilty pleasure for those who can’t wait for the real thing.

Mass Effect 2 strikes a perfect balance between intense shooter action and gut-wrenching drama, set in a richly textured world on the brink of destruction. It's a must-own for science fiction fans, who will love exploring the depths of the galaxy and fighting to save humanity.

 

Containing the intense atmosphere of the Stalker series, Call of Pripyat is a great game. It’s just sad that, with a bit more effort it could have been the eye-popping classic the series could create.

Capcom should be applauded for having the confidence to bring TvC to the states - it’s an excellent fighting game that deserves to be played despite its commercial handicaps.

Let’s keep it good and simple: Modern Warfare 2 is this year’s must-buy first-person shooter.
